My birthday

Tim got me a cake!!! Bonus--the flip flops are magnets so I have them on my fridge to remember this day
the collage that Augst made me.  Alot of the pictures were taken the morning of while I was getting ready

I recently celebrated my 39th birthday.  It was a very good day, one of the best!  Here is what my family did for me :)

The poem is from Shelby.  It's hard to read so I'll write what it says

Roses are red, violets are blue
I'm no poet
So please pray for me, and you :)

You're patience can be low
You're pizza is often burnt
Your math abilities are very slow

You judge my friends
You dictate my wardrobe
Any you've worn your Mickey Mouse pajamas like they're a new trend

But in the end, your heart beasts faster and stronger every day
You're the epitome of kindness and love towards others
Your relationship with Christ is strong, and your dedication never seems to stray

You only judge, to ensure my future
You only burn, because I just know you love our jokes :)
And God couldn't put math abilities and a brilliant mother all in one brain

So in the end, I Love You Mom
I know that another day spent with you is another day of my personal growth
And I can't forget, HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMY!!!

***yes, I cried..even as I typed this**

All my own

I'm sitting her typing on my very own computer.  I can't tell you the excitement I feel!  For years I have used one of my kids' computers always to be hurried off way too quickly.  Now, I can sit and write blogs, go on facebook, check my email, check the latest news or WHATEVER I want.  It's a freeing feeling!  Tim says that it's "our" computer, and I'm willing to share...a little bit :)

Do Something

So...my kids go back to school tomorrow so I've made sure that my oldest daughter set me up with a blog.  I've been wanting to blog for awhile now.  I like to follow others blogs and I'm pretty sure I'll enjoy contributing to one also.

Here's to hoping that I remember my password and how to get on to here :)
